Family!

This week was really, really busy! Let’s just say that my companion and I were so busy that we didn’t have companion study one time this week! We literally had something to be doing every single second of the day!

This week was one of the hardest working weeks ever. In my new area...it’s pretty hard. We have no baptism dates and no one is progressing, so we sat down and I told my comp straight up that what we had is no good and we need to find more people ready to progress. So we started earlier in the morning working and came home later. I literally have never been so tired in all my life. There were 3 days straight where we came home, ate 3 peanut butter and jellys then left 15 minutes later! But hey it was all worth it, we found 27 new investigators!!!! That’s my record so far in the mission, so hopefully out of all of these there will be some ready to accept the gospel. We worked a lot with the members, that helped us a ton. My last area the comp and I put 20 baptism dates on the books. Considering when I started, we only had 3 that is pretty good. So yes, this area is making me go crazy!

Good news!, two of the family's in Trebol that I worked with just got baptized on Saturday! I was really bummed I couldn’t be there but oh well, at least they got baptized.

The other day we were walking down the street at 6:35 in the morning to go pick up our clothes and we are about to cross the road and we see this car just flying towards us, so we kinda scoot to the other side of the street, then we realize that he is about to hit a light pole and he’s not slowing down! Then BAM!!!!!! he hit this pole going about 40 m.p.h his whole engine is almost cut in half. ( it was like a new Toyota Camry too) . So me and comp go running over to see if we can help. We see the wheels start going again but the car can’t get over a huge rock and was lifted off the ground so it could’nt drive away. I start slapping the glass of the car to get the person out . We couldn’t see him because the tint was so dark. He finally comes out , the dude is wasted out of his mind! He starts walking in circles saying he had a head ache...that’s guatemala for you :) so me and my comp just look at each other and laugh and keep walking to the clothes lady. haha we saw him again today and he was drunk, they just don’t learn their lessons!

I love you guys and I am so glad to be a missionary here in Guatemala, I love having so many miracles happen and so many stories to tell! Continue to pray for those seeking the truth, I hope all is well, I miss you and love you so much!

Family!!!

Hey remember how I told you I was going to Trebol 2...yeah well I lied! I just supposed I was going there since I had a change and they were making a new area. I even found a huge house with hammocks and every thing. It was so sweet! Then I got my changes for real...haha I am in Poptun Peten! It’s about 3 hours away from my last area in Trebol. here it is a lot cloudier and rainier. The branch is actually really strong. There is about 100 people who show up every week. The branch President is 24 and a return missionary so he helps us out a lot! my comp is a gringo named Elder Bishop, he is from Orem Utah. He has about 6 months on the mission. He is a really great missionary so I am excited to work this change here with him.( He’s just not really my type of people, he is very smart haha and hasn’t really experienced life so we cant really relate any thing when we talk. So far things are just a little quiet with us but I am pretty sure things will get a lot better.

Monday we had zone conference, President Torres was there and Elder Martino (who is from the 70). This conference was probably the best one yet! . Elder Martino is an amazing speaker and he spoke about working hard in the area and with all the members. I took a lot of notes so I am hoping I can go back and look at them to remind me what I need to keep doing. It really helped to keep going strong in the work and to really use the members.

So this change me and my comp are going to work with the members every day (hopefully). We didn’t have interviews because we have a new schedule where one change we have conference and the other we have interviews.

This p-day was fun, we went to this place and we played pool and ping pong for the first time in my mission!!!!!! ii was sick. I am a little rusty at both of them but every one else was horrible so everyone thought I was amazing haha:) Then we ate at a little restaurant and bought some ice cream, so it was a good day for me!

My house seems huge because last change there were 4 elders there and now only two. No, We don’t have a heater on the water (almost all houses in Peten do not have a heater) and it was seriously like the dirtiest house I have ever seen so me and my comp cleaned it for almost 4 hours this morning! haha I have turned into a clean freak on the mish it’s so weird!

Altogether things are amazing and the area looks like it has some potential. I am excited to be here and love my mission so much. I love you guys and hope all is well !!!!!!!!!!!!!
